In world mythology including Puranas multiheaded snakes have found mention is stories. In Puranas Vasuki and Sheshnaga are multi headed snakes. Sheshnaga is depicted as a five-headed or seven-headed or a ten-headed serpent or even thousand headed. The serpent Kaliya killed by Krishna was a multiheaded serpent. The Double-headed serpent is found in Aztec sculpture. In Greek mythology Lernean Hydra, the offspring of Typhon and Echidna is a nine headed sea snake. Xiangliu in Chinese mythology is also a nine headed snake. In the Old Testament, Leviathan is a multiheaded sea serpent that is killed by God. But here the viral double headed serpent is like Aztec serpent.
