Taylor Swift  (born December 13, 1989) is American singer-songwriter whose genre-spanning discography, songwriting and artistic reinventions have received critical praise and wide media coverage. She is one of the popular culture figure in 21th century. Swift began professional songwriting at age 14 and signed with Big Machine Records in 2005 to become a country singer.

Her debut album was released in 2006. The album’s third single, “Our Song”, made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Hot Country Songs chart. She began with country pop (country music like Bhojpuri, Punjabi ). Her major hit albums from 2006-12 were largely country pop. She also won all major country awards in her state including the Country Music Association’s Horizon Award for Best New Artist, the Academy of Country Music Awards’ Top New Female Vocalist, and the American Music Awards’ Favorite Country Female Artist honor.
