सरस्वत्यास्तटे तुष्टो मनोयज्ञेन पांडव ।।
In Bhagavad Purana the father of Shri Krishna , Nanda Maharaja addresses him as great Jyotishi and Brahmagyani-
ज्योतिषामयनं साक्षाद् यत्तज्ज्ञानमतीन्द्रियम् ।
प्रणीतं भवता येन पुमान् वेद परावरम् ॥
O great saintly person, you have compiled the astrological knowledge by which one can understand past and present unseen things. By the strength of this knowledge, any human being can understand what he has done in his past life and how it affects his present life. This is known to you.
Narada Bhakti Sutra also mentions him as great Bhakti acharyas among the three acharyas with the sutra “कथादिष्विति गर्ग:”.
Varahamihir has quoted him as founder of Vedic astrology among other acharyas as ‘Gargacharya’ in his work. Gargacharya was born before Sage Parashar and was one of the greatest Vaishnava as well as Shaktacharya of his times.
Garg Astro
GargAstro is founded on Vedanta philosophy and theology which teaches Yajna as the basis of creation. Any action other than Yajna is a sin, says Bhagavad Gita.
यज्ञार्थात्कर्मणोऽन्यत्र लोकोऽयं कर्मबन्धनः।
तदर्थं कर्म कौन्तेय मुक्तसंगः समाचर।।3.9।।
The world is bound by actions other than those performed for the sake of sacrifice; do thou, therefore, O son of Kunti (Arjuna), perform action for that sake (for sacrifice alone), free from attachment.
GargAstro follows this eternal philosophy hence its sole purpose is to serve people and Vedic dharma. GargAstro is not here to do mass level Jyotish business and to turn astrology in to corporate business. Vedic Astrology is a spiritual science, it can help people only when it is taken and practiced as such. Garg Astro is founded to make available the astrological and philosophical work of Gargacharya. His Garga Samhita is one of his core text of Vaishnavism as well as Astrology. Saryuparin Garg gotriya Acharya Rajesh Shukla ‘Garg’ is working with a team of great Brahmins on his philosophy, devotionalism and astrology. We will come with a huge work on Gargacharya very soon.
I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.
